What E06 actually means
The control board has lost confidence in the drum motor ing back the signals it expects, so it shuts the cycle down.
E06 on the LD752W is logged as a motor fault. The board drives the motor and watches the feedback coming back from it; if the speed, direction or feedback signal doesn't match what was commanded, the wash is stopped rather than allowed to continue. In practice you'll usually see the drum stall, fail to spin up, or the programme halt part-way with the door still locked. The Vestel service notes also flag environmental conditions before anything else, and say not to run the machine until those are right \\\ so a machine that has been stood somewhere very cold or damp needs to come up to normal room conditions first.
What E06 looks like on a Servis washer dryer
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Servis washer dryer, E06 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- Machine door won't open
- Door won't lock or click shut
- Door lock light flashing
- Door stuck shut with the load inside
- Won't start even with the door closed
- Drum not turning
- Won't spin
- Hums or buzzes but nothing moves
Recognise any of those? That is this fault, and the rest of this page explains what causes it and what you can check yourself.
What usually causes it
- Worn motor brushes or a worn motor on an older machine
- A loose or damaged connection between the motor and the control board
- Very cold, damp or otherwise unsuitable conditions where the machine is installed
- A drum that is jammed or heavily overloaded, so the motor can't reach the commanded speed
- A fault on the control board's motor drive circuit
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then back on, and try a short cycle \u2014 a single glitch can log the fault without the motor being faulty
- If the drum is packed tight, take some of the load out and restart
- Turn the drum by hand with the machine switched off; it should move freely, and anything that grinds or won't budge tells you the fault is mechanical
- If the machine has been in an unheated garage or outbuilding, let it warm up to normal room temperature before running it again
Which Servis models show E06
E06 means the same thing on this model. If yours is not listed, the explanation above still applies — the code is set by the control board, not the model number.

Can I fix Servis E06 myself?
There are 4 checks you can safely do yourself first.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then back on, and try a short cycle \u2014 a single glitch can log the fault without the motor being faulty.
- If the drum is packed tight, take some of the load out and restart.
- Turn the drum by hand with the machine switched off; it should move freely, and anything that grinds or won't budge tells you the fault is mechanical.
- If the machine has been in an unheated garage or outbuilding, let it warm up to normal room temperature before running it again.

Tried the checks and it's still showing E06?
