What E08 actually means
The control board can't drive the drum motor properly — the switching device on the board that feeds the motor has failed or is being read as faulty.
Inside the main control board a component called a triac switches power to the wash motor. When the board sees that switch behaving wrongly — stuck on, not conducting, or not responding to its own commands — it shuts the cycle down and logs E08 rather than risk running the motor uncontrolled. Servis list this as a service-level code on these Vestel-built washer dryers, not one of the handful (door, no water, pump, overflow, voltage) meant for the end user, so it usually surfaces during an engineer's autotest or when the machine faults and the drum simply won't turn.
What E08 looks like on a Servis washer dryer

What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Switch off at the wall socket, leave it a minute, then power back up — occasionally a one-off glitch clears
- Check the drum turns freely by hand with the machine unplugged, and that nothing is jammed between drum and tub
