What is actually happening
When the oven and hob fail at the same moment the fault is nearly always the supply they share rather than two appliances failing at once. That means the cooker switch, the breaker, or the terminal block where the cable enters the back — and the terminal block is the one worth taking seriously, because it fails by arcing and charring rather than cleanly.
The Beko fault codes that point at this
A Beko electric cooker will usually tell you what it thinks is wrong before anyone opens it up. These are the codes we hold for this make that relate to not working:
- E02 — The appliance has lost a sensible reading from one of its temperature sensors and has shut the heating down until it is checked.
- E03 — The appliance has stopped because two of its internal control boards have lost contact with each other, so the touch controls and the heating side are no longer talking.
- E04 — The control board has lost a sensible reading from the temperature sensor on one of the heating coils, so it shuts that zone down.
- E07 — The control board has lost the mains signal it uses to work out whether a pan is on the ring, so it shuts the zone down and shows a fault.
- F00 — The oven's touch control panel has thrown a fault \u2014 in most cases it thinks one of the touch keys is being held down, so it stops accepting commands.
- F02 — The touch controls failed the self-check they run every time the appliance is powered up, so the panel won't accept any input.

The usual causes on a Beko electric cooker
- A tripped breaker or a switched-off cooker isolator
- A burnt or arcing terminal block at the cable connection
- A failed control board or timer holding everything off
- A timer left in auto, which locks the oven off on many models
What you can safely check yourself
- Check the cooker switch on the wall and the breaker in the consumer unit
- Check the timer is set to manual rather than auto
- Look and smell behind the cooker for scorching at the cable entry — if there is any, leave it isolated and do not use it
