Beko E02 washer dryer: what it means & what to check

What E02 actually means

The machine has lost the heating element circuit — the water heater isn't there electrically, so the wash can't heat up.

During the wash, the control board switches the heater on and monitors it. If it sees no continuity through the element or its wiring, it flags E02 and abandons heating. The usual symptom the owner notices is a wash that runs and drains normally but comes out cold, with the cycle either stopping or the code appearing at the end.

What E02 looks like on a Beko washer dryer

What usually causes it

Washing heater element burnt out or gone open circuit — the most common finding

Failure of the heater output on the main control board (less common)

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
