What E25 actually means

The control panel and the main circuit board inside the machine have stopped talking to each other, so the washer dryer won't take instructions.

Beko's driver (main) board and the display board are linked by a ribbon-type communication cable and a 5V supply. If that link drops out, the machine can't confirm what programme you've asked for, so it refuses to start, cuts a cycle short, or the panel goes dead with no lights and unresponsive buttons. It's a control fault rather than anything to do with water, heating or the drum.

What E25 looks like on a Beko washer dryer

Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Beko washer dryer, E25 usually shows up as one or more of these:

  • Not drying
  • Blowing cold air
  • Clothes still damp at the end
  • Takes hours to dry
  • No function at all
  • Dead — nothing lights up
  • Lights flashing and nothing happening
  • Programme won't start

Recognise any of those? That is this fault, and the rest of this page explains what causes it and what you can check yourself.

What usually causes it

  • The communication plug at either the display or the main board working loose
  • A damaged or broken wire in the display-to-main-board cable
  • Loss of the 5V supply from the power board to the main board
  • A failed display board
  • A failed main (driver) board

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

  1. Switch the machine off at the wall socket, leave it a minute, then power it back up — an occasional one-off glitch will clear
  2. Try selecting a programme again from cold; note whether the panel lights up at all, as a completely dead display is useful information for the engineer

Which Beko models show E25

E25 means the same thing on this model. If yours is not listed, the explanation above still applies — the code is set by the control board, not the model number.
