What F03 actually means
The machine has spotted a problem with the water heating — the heater is being fed power when it shouldn't be, so the wash water can end up boiling hot.
F1, F2 and F3 are grouped together as heating circuit faults, covering the temperature sensor and the heater itself. F3 is the one linked to the heater staying energised continuously — the symptom in the service notes is water being boiled and laundry coming out extremely hot and looking worn. The control board halts the cycle rather than let the heating carry on unchecked.
What F03 looks like on a Blomberg washing machine

- A failed heating element
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then back on, to see whether the code clears
- Don't start another wash on a hot programme while the code is showing — if you must finish a load, use a cold rinse and spin only
- Check your laundry from the last wash: if it came out unusually hot or scorched, mention that when you book the repair, as it points straight at the heating circuit
