What 1E actually means

This isn't a fault \u2014 "1E" is what the display shows when the Extra Rinse option has been switched on in the machine's service settings.

In Electrolux's service menu, the display uses short codes to show which optional settings are active. "1E" means Extra Rinse is enabled; "0E" means it is disabled. An extra cold rinse is added to the wash cycles, which the factory setting normally leaves switched off. If you are seeing it, the dishwasher has been put into service mode rather than developing a problem \u2014 either deliberately by an engineer or accidentally by a button combination being held during power-up.
