Electrolux F00 dishwasher: what it means & what to check

What F00 actually means

The dishwasher has picked up water where there shouldn't be any he it stops rather than carry on filling.

On these Electrolux machines F00 is the leak-detection reading. Water has been sensed in the base of the appliance, and the control reacts by shutting the fill valve and running the pump to clear whatever it can. Overfilling, so water reaches the base tray and trips the leak sensor
A soaked or faulty leak sensor in the base that keeps reporting water after the original leak has dried
Detergent overdosing causing heavy foam that spills out of the wash tub

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Look at the floor around and under the machine \vidence of water tells you whether it's a real leak or a stuck sensor
Wipe the door seal and the edge of the door where it meets the tub, and check nothing (a stray plate rim, a stuck spoon) has been holding the door slightly open
Take out the filter in the base of the tub, rinse it and refit it properly \ blocked filter can make the tub overfill
Check the drain hose and fill hose behind the machine aren't kinked or crushed against the wall
