What E93 actually means
The dryer's control board has lost or been given the wrong settings for your particular model, so it won't run a cycle.
Every Electrolux dryer control board carries a stored configuration telling it which model it is fitted to — drum size, heater or heat pump, sensor set-up, which programmes exist. On E93 the board checks that stored data at start-up, finds it doesn't match anything valid, and halts the cycle, usually with the programme lights flashing. It isn't a drum, filter or airflow fault at all; nothing is mechanically wrong.
What usually causes it
- Stored configuration data in the board's memory has been corrupted
- A replacement control board fitted without being configured to the model
- Wrong board specification used for the model
- Failed control board memory chip
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the dryer off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and try a programme — occasionally the board clears a one-off read error
- If the machine has recently been repaired or had a board fitted, let whoever did the work know the code, as configuration is normally the cause

This one usually needs an engineer once you have tried the checks above.
