What E94 actually means
The dryer's control board has lost or scrambled the stored settings for the drying programme, so it won't run the cycle you selected.

When the board reads that data and finds it doesn't make sense for the model it's fitted to, it halts the cycle rather than guess. You'll typically see the programme stop dead soon after starting, with the machine going into a fault state instead of drying.
