What F01 actually means

The machine isn't getting water in fast enough, so it has halted the cycle before washing starts.

Hisense uses F01 for a water inflow fault: the machine has called for water, waited, and not seen the drum fill as expected. It usually appears within the first few minutes of a programme, with the drum dry or barely wet and the display stuck. In our experience the cause is far more often outside the machine \u2014 tap, hose or inlet filter \u2014 than inside it, which is why the manual has you check the supply first.

What F01 looks like on a Hisense washer dryer

What usually causes it

Water tap turned off or only part open
Fill hose kinked, trapped or crushed behind the machine
Blocked inlet filter (the small mesh screen where the hose screws onto the machine)
Low mains water pressure, or a stopcock left partly closed after other work
Fill hose frozen \u2014 common in garages and outhouses in winter
Faulty inlet valve or pressure sensing inside the machine

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Check the water tap behind the machine is fully open, and that no one has turned off the stopcock.
Run a cold tap elsewhere in the house to confirm you have normal pressure.
Pull the machine forward gently and check the fill hose isn't kinked or pinched against the wall.
If the machine is somewhere cold and the weather has been freezing, let the area warm up before trying again \u2014 a frozen fill hose gives the same code.
Once you've sorted the supply, press Start/Pause to let the cycle carry on rather than restarting from scratch.
If nothing looks wrong, switch off at the wall for a minute, then power up and try a short programme.
