What F50 actually means
One of the machine's sensors is giving a reading the control board won't accept, so the cycle is halted.
Hisense group F50 with F51 as a sensor fault. The control board is either getting no signal at all from one of its sensors or a reading outside the range it expects, and rather than run blind it stops the programme. Hisense's own instruction for this code is to call service ote it, unlike the board-communication codes F21 and F22, they do not offer a restart as a fix.
What usually causes it
- A failed sensor on the machine
- A loose or damaged connection between the sensor and the control board
- Moisture or corrosion at a sensor connection
- A fault on the control board itself misreading the sensor
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power it back up, choose your programme and start it \u2014 if the code is a one-off glitch it will clear, and if it comes back it's a genuine fault
- Have your model and serial number from the rating plate ready before you call, as Hisense ask for it

This one usually needs an engineer once you have tried the checks above.
