If it is plugged into an extension lead or multi-way adaptor, plug it straight into a wall socket instead. These machines draw a lot of current when heating and extensions cause voltage drop.
Check whether other appliances on the same circuit misbehave or lights dim; if so, the problem is likely the house supply, not the machine, and that is an electrician's job.
