What E10 actually means

The machine has lost a reliable reading from its water level sensor, so it can no longer tell how much water is in the drum and stops rather than carry on filling blind.

E10 on these Montpellier washer dryers is logged as an EPS fault — EPS being the electronic pressure sensor that measures the water level. The control board expects a frequency signal back from that sensor within a set band; if the signal is out of range, or no signal arrives at all, it flags E10 and abandons the cycle. On most of the panels used across this range you'll also see the wash-stage lights flashing quickly alongside the code. Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and try a short programme — occasional one-off readings do clear.
Clean out the pump filter at the bottom front and make sure the drum has actually emptied; a bowlful of standing water left behind can keep the level reading wrong.
Check the drain hose isn't kinked, pushed too far down the standpipe or blocked, so the machine can drain properly between stages.
If the machine is in a garage or outhouse that has been very cold or damp, let it warm up to normal room temperature before running it — the fault tell engineers not to run the machine until the environment is within normal conditions.
