What E18 actually means
The machine has lost a sensible temperature reading from the drying side, so it has shut the drying part of the cycle down.

- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power it back up and start a drying cycle again — the code can be a one-off trip.
- Clean out the pump filter at the bottom front and make sure the drum is not overloaded; drying needs plenty of free space to work.
- Check the machine is not shut tight against a wall or in a hot, unventilated cupboard — these models pull room air through the drying circuit and need clearance.
- Check the drain hose is not kinked or pushed too far into the standpipe, as poor drainage can leave the machine wet going into the dry stage.
