What F01 actually means

The machine isn't getting enough water in, so it has stopped the cycle before it can carry on.

Teknix uses F01 for a water inflow fault: the machine has called for water at the start of a fill and hasn't seen the level rise enough in the time allowed. It halts there rather than running the drum or heater dry. In practice it usually appears within the first few minutes of a wash, with the drum still empty or barely wet.

What F01 looks like on a Teknix washer dryer

What usually causes it

Tap to the machine turned off or only part open
Kinked or trapped fill hose behind the machine
Blocked filter gauze in the fill hose connection at the tap end
Low water pressure in the house, or the supply frozen in cold weather
Faulty inlet valve or water level sensing inside the machine

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Check the tap feeding the machine is fully open and that water runs freely from it
Pull the machine out gently and check the fill hose isn't kinked, crushed or trapped
Turn the tap off, unscrew the fill hose at the tap end by hand and rinse out the small filter gauze inside, then refit it hand-tight
In cold weather, allow a frozen supply pipe or hose to thaw before trying again
Once you've dealt with anything you found, press Start/Pause to clear the fault and restart
