Beko E11 washer dryer: what it means & what to check

What E11 actually means

The control board has lost proper feedback or drive to the drum motor, so the machine stops rather than trying to turn the drum.

On these Beko washer dryers E11 is the motor fault code. The board is either seeing a break in the motor windings, or losing the signal from the speed sensor (tacho/hall sensor) that tells it how fast the drum is actually spinning. Because it can't control the drum safely, it halts the programme — typically part-way through, often with water still in the tub and the wash unfinished.

What E11 looks like on a Beko washer dryer

What usually causes it

A break in one of the motor windings or the motor's speed sensor
A loose, chafed or corroded plug on the motor loom between board and motor
Worn motor brushes or a failing motor on brush-type models
A failed drive stage on the main control board (or the separate DC/IPM module where fitted)
A seized or mechanically jammed drum stalling the motor

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Switch off at the wall for a minute, then power up and try a short spin — a one-off glitch will sometimes clear.
With the machine switched off at the socket, open the door and turn the drum by hand. It should rotate freely; if it grinds or won't move, mention that when you book the repair.
If the drum is packed tight, take some of the load out and retry — an overloaded drum can stall the motor.
Run a spin-only or drain cycle to get the water out before you unload, if the machine will accept it.
