What E16 actually means

The sensor that measures how much detergent is left in the rinse water isn't giving a sensible reading, so the machine flags a fault.

This Beko uses a rinse sensor (Beko call the feature RinSense) to judge how clean the water is and decide whether extra rinses are needed. E16 is logged when the control board sees that sensor as either open circuit or short circuit \u2014 in other words no signal at all, or a nonsense one. Because the machine can no longer tell when the laundry is properly rinsed, it stops rather than carrying on blind.
