What E16 actually means

The machine has lost the signal from the sensor that judges how clean the rinse water is, so it can't tell whether the load has been rinsed properly.

On Beko machines with the RinSense feature, a conductivity sensor checks the rinse water to decide whether extra rinses are needed. E16 means the control board is reading that sensor as open or short circuit, so it has no usable reading. In many cases the wash itself continues normally and the owner notices nothing beyond the code, but the automatic rinse adjustment is out of action.

Run a maintenance wash with no clothes and a machine cleaner or descaler, as residue on the sensor can be the trigger
Check the detergent dose isn't excessive, as heavy suds and residue make rinse readings unreliable
