What E26 actually means
The washing machine's main control board can't read or write its own memory, so it stops rather than run a cycle blind.
Beko's boards store settings and cycle data in a small memory chip (the EEPROM). If the board can't read from or write to that chip reliably, it flags E26 and halts. You'll usually see it very early — the machine takes the program selection but won't start, or it drops out almost immediately.
What E26 looks like on a Beko washing machine
