What E91 actually means
The control panel and the main circuit board have stopped talking to each other, so the machine won't start the cycle.
Your Electrolux washer dryer has two electronic boards — the user interface behind the buttons and display, and the main board that actually runs the motor, valves and heater. E91 is set when the interface board sends its instructions and gets no sensible reply back, and because the check happens as the machine powers up, the cycle never begins. The code stays on the display and the buzzer will usually beep in short bursts until the machine is switched off.

What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall socket, leave it for a minute, then switch back on and try the cycle again — Electrolux's own guidance treats a single occurrence as a possible false alarm that clears this way.
- If it clears, run a normal cycle and see whether the code comes back. A fault that returns needs an engineer.
- Check the plug is fully home in the socket and not sharing an overloaded extension lead.
