Electrolux F03 oven: what it means & what to check

What F03 actually means

The oven's control panel and the main power board have stopped talking to each other, so the oven has shut itself down and is holding the code on the display.

The display module and the power board behind it exchange signals constantly while the oven is running. When that link drops out, the control switches the oven off and shows F03 permanently rather than letting it keep heating blind. Nothing you do at the controls will clear it while the fault is present, and the code will come straight back on the next power-up if the connection is still broken.

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Switch the oven off at the wall socket or isolator, leave it off for at least a minute, then switch back on — a genuine one-off communication glitch can clear this way
If the code returns immediately, leave the oven switched off at the wall and book a visit; there is nothing else that can be reached safely from the outside
