What E09 actually means

The automatic ice maker's motor isn't turning as the control board expects, so the machine has flagged the ice maker rather than the fridge or freezer itself.

E09 is the Icematic motor error. The control board drives the motor that turns the ice tray and ejects the cubes, and when it doesn't see that movement happening properly it stops trying and shows the fault. Cooling in both compartments normally carries on as usual — the symptom you notice is no ice, or ice that stops part-way through being dropped into the bin.

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Switch the ice maker off at the display for a few hours, take the ice bin out and let any lumps of ice thaw, then refit the bin squarely and turn it back on
Check the bin is pushed fully home — a bin sitting proud can hold the ejector and look like a motor fault
Turn the appliance off at the socket for a minute and back on to see if the code clears
If your model is plumbed in, make sure the water pipe behind the fridge isn't kinked
