What E00 actually means

The fridge freezer has lost contact with, or isn't getting a proper response from, its automatic ice maker.

On these Montpellier models the control board watches the ice maker and flags a fault when it doesn't run or report back as expected. What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Look in the ice bin and clear out any lumps of ice that have frozen together or wedged against the mechanism — by hand, don't lever anything
If the machine is plumbed in, check the water tap is on and the supply pipe behind the appliance isn't kinked or crushed against the wall
Make sure the freezer door is closing fully and the seal isn't held off by a drawer or packaging — warm air getting in causes ice to clump and stall the mechanism
Switch off at the wall for a minute, then back on, and see whether the code clears
