What F07 actually means
The dishwasher has measured the water inside as hotter than it should ever get, and has shut the cycle down to protect itself.
Servis dishwashers monitor tank temperature throughout the wash and rinse stages. F07 is the overheat fault — the control has seen a temperature above the safe limit for the programme and stopped rather than carry on heating. You will usually notice it part-way through a wash, often with hot water still standing in the tub and the dishes only half done.
What F07 looks like on a Servis dishwasher
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Servis dishwasher, F07 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- Not filling with water
- No water going in
- Takes for ever to fill
- Stops right at the start of the cycle
- Dishes coming out cold and wet
- Not drying the load
- Water not heating up
- No function at all

What usually causes it
- The temperature sensor in the tub reading wrongly and reporting a false high temperature
- The heater staying powered when it should have switched off
- A control board fault leaving the heating circuit live
- Hot water being fed into the machine from a hot supply rather than cold
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and try a short programme — if it was a one-off glitch it will run through.
- Check the machine is plumbed to the cold water supply, not a hot tap, if it has recently been installed or moved.
- Let the dishwasher stand and cool for an hour before retrying, so the sensor is not still reading residual heat.
