What E44 actually means

During the drying part of the cycle, the machine periodically flushes the condenser with water to wash away lint and help it shed heat. The control board has decided that flush isn't happening ot water isn't getering through the condenser washing valve, so it stops the programme rather than let the condenser clog and overheat. Washing normally still works; it is the drying side that fails.

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then restart to see if the code clears
Check both taps are fully open and the inlet hoses are not kinked or trapped behind the machine
Clean the pump filter at the bottom front and clear the fluff out of it
Run a wash-only programme to confirm the fault is limited to drying
