What E03 actually means

The hob has measured the incoming mains voltage as too high and has shut the cooking zones down to protect its electronics.

Electrolux induction hobs monitor the supply voltage arriving at the power modules. If it reads above the level the boards are built for, the hob stops heating and shows this code rather than risk damaging the induction generators. The fault points at the supply itself first — one classic finding is a hob that has ended up connected across 400V instead of a single 230V line, which happens easily on a multi-terminal connection block.

What usually causes it

Hob wired incorrectly at the connection block, so it is seeing 400V across two live lines instead of 230V — very common on a newly installed or re-installed hob
Genuinely high or unstable mains voltage coming into the property
A loose or broken neutral connection in the supply to the hob
Fault on the hob's own power board causing it to misread the incoming voltage

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the hob off at the wall or at the circuit breaker for a minute, then switch it back on — if the reading was a momentary spike, the code may not return
If the hob has only recently been installed or worked on, stop using it and have the installer check the connections rather than persevering
