What F95 actually means

The oven has detected that its own control electronics are getting too hot and has shut the heating down to protect itself.

There's a small temperature sensor (an NTC) fitted on the oven's power board, watching how hot the electronics behind the fascia are getting. When that reading climbs past the safe limit, the board raises this alarm and cuts the heating rather than risk cooking its own components. It usually shows up part-way through a long bake or a high-temperature or pyrolytic cycle, not from cold.

What usually causes it

Cooling fan not running or running weakly, so heat builds up behind the control panel
Blocked or obstructed cooling vents around the oven door or under the worktop
Oven built into a housing with no clearance or ventilation gaps as designed
Faulty board temperature sensor giving a false high reading
Failing power board overheating in normal use

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the oven off at the wall for a minute, then back on — if the electronics have cooled, the alarm may clear.
Let the oven cool right down before trying again; the fault often won't reset while it's still hot.
Check nothing is covering the vent slots above or below the door, and that no tea towel or foil tray is blocking airflow.
If it's a built-in oven that was recently fitted, check nothing has been pushed into the gap behind or above it.
Listen for the cooling fan when the oven is heating — if it's silent, note that for the engineer.
