What is actually happening
When the oven and hob fail at the same moment the fault is nearly always the supply they share rather than two appliances failing at once. That means the cooker switch, the breaker, or the terminal block where the cable enters the back — and the terminal block is the one worth taking seriously, because it fails by arcing and charring rather than cleanly.
The Electrolux fault codes that point at this
A Electrolux electric cooker will usually tell you what it thinks is wrong before anyone opens it up. These are the codes we hold for this make that relate to not working:
- C01 — The oven won't start its pyrolytic self-clean because the telescopic shelf runners (or side racks) are still inside.
- C03 — The oven has detected that the electricity coming into it is below the voltage it needs, so it has shut the heating off.
- C04 — The oven won't let you start the pyrolytic cleaning cycle, and instead of running it shows C4 — the control thinks a button is being held down, or it isn't happy with the mains supply it's seeing.
- C05 — The board that switches power to the heating elements has a relay stuck closed, so the appliance has shut itself down rather than risk heating when it shouldn't.
- C06 — The oven has spotted a problem with its cooling fan and shut things down to avoid overheating.
- E01 — The oven's main control board isn't set up correctly for this model, so the electronics have shut things down rather than run with the wrong settings.
- E02 — The oven's control panel isn't set up correctly for this appliance, so it won't let the oven run.
- F00 — The oven's control board can't reliably read or write its own memory, so it has shut the cooking functions down.
