On most makes the pattern of flashes or the code shown identifies the fault precisely, and the two most common are a drain fault and the anti-flood float. • F05 — The dishwasher isn't getting the water it expects, or the water it did take in has drained away again, so it stops the programme and flags F05.
• F06 — The dishwasher has decided the water in the tub has got too hot — or that the sensor reading that temperature can no longer be trusted — so it has abandoned the programme.
• F07 — The dishwasher has detected that the water inside has got hotter than it should — above about 77°C — and has shut the cycle down to stop it overheating.
