What is actually happening
A flashing light is a fault code being reported in the only way the machine can. On most makes the pattern of flashes or the code shown identifies the fault precisely, and the two most common are a drain fault and the anti-flood float. Note the code before switching anything off — it is the quickest route to the right diagnosis.
The Servis fault codes that point at this
A Servis dishwasher will usually tell you what it thinks is wrong before anyone opens it up. These are the codes we hold for this make that relate to lights flashing:
- F00 — The dishwasher has decided there is too much water inside it and has shut the cycle down to stop it overflowing.
- F01 — The dishwasher has decided there is too much water inside it, or water where there shouldn't be, and it has shut the wash down to stop your kitchen flooding.
- F02 — The dishwasher has tried to pump the dirty water out and hasn't managed it, so it has stopped with water still sitting in the bottom.
- F03 — The dishwasher has worked out that water is still coming in when it shouldn't be, so it has stopped the cycle and is warning you before it overfills.
- F05 — The dishwasher isn't happy with the water coming into it illing water when it shouldn't be, so it has stopped the programme.
- F06 — The dishwasher can no longer read the water temperature, so it has stopped the cycle rather than heat blind.
- F07 — The dishwasher has measured the water inside as hotter than it should ever get, and has shut the cycle down to protect itself.
- F08 — The dishwasher has decided the water isn't heating as it should, so it has stopped the programme and put up a heater fault.
If yours is showing one of those, that is a much shorter conversation than a general fault — tell us the code when you book and the engineer can often carry the part.

Can I fix a Servis dishwasher lights flashing myself?
